Home Security & Working From Home.
Coyne Research conducted a national survey amongst 1,000 Irish adults aged 18+ on behalf of Allianz recently around the topic of hybrid work spaces, working from home and home security.
The research shows that 1 in 3 adults currently work from home. Amongst those working from home or expect to in the future, 1 in 3 claim they have/will have a home office – Baby Boomers most likely to claim so. Gen Z far more likely to claim they work/will work in a space in their bedroom.
1 in 3 of those working/expecting to work from home claim to be aware that their home/renter’s insurance covers their work equipment.
Home Security
13% of those working from home have not taken any steps to protect their work devices in their home. Those in the Gen Z cohort are less likely to lock their work devices with a password.
The research also shows that close to 2 in 5 currently have no form of home security.
Over half of all Irish adults claim they have either a standard alarm or a home monitored alarm. Those working from home most likely to have a home monitored alarm (35%).
